Hope Tariro Trust opens doors to Early Childhood Learning.
Hope Tariro Trust started ECD as a response to a seeing a lot of children loitering around who were supposed to be in school.
The children could not attend ECD because the two primary schools in the area are more than 6 km away a distance that’s is very long for children under the age of 5 years.
We registered 40 children but only 21 were coming to school and sometimes missing classes because they won’t be having food to carry to school till end of March.
Beginning of April we got a volunteer qualified teacher to help us set up the classes as per Ministry of Education requirements.
We currently have a class of 43 pupils. More children are registered but we need resources to have another class. The journey is shown on our pictures from February to date. Our hope is to build proper infrastructure for learning.
